Three Muses

Three muses is a painting that I hope recognizes the contributions of Native Americans to the arts. Most people think of blankets, pottery, jewelry and sometimes painting when asked to name the native arts. However, there are many writers, actors, directors, and musicians that we should acknowledge. Maria Tallchief and her sister were recognized as prima ballerinas and other dancers continue to make contributions. It is exciting to live in Santa Fe where Anglos, Hispanics, Native Americans and others contribute so significantly to the rich culture.
