This was inspired by a poignant descanso composed of a cross, flowers, teddy bear, photographs, and other personal objects. It was located on the high road between Santa Fe and Taos. There was a second adjacent cross remembering the adult that died in the same accident. This particular painting arouses very strong emotions since I witnessed a similar situation where a jeep containing three adults and five children rolled down a steep embankment of perhaps fifty feet.
