Prairie Dog Chorus

On The Down Beat! The painting is part of a new series utilizing music and southwestern animal motifs. This painting has four prairie dog mounds with a typical New Mexico desert background. There are a cluster of prairie dogs on each mound facing toward a central prairie figure that is standing in the in the typical prairie dog pose. The central prairie dog has a branch held as a baton preparing for a downbeat. The other prairie dogs represent the various voices in choral groups. An ever-present raven is surveying the scene.
