The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe is one of the most remembered poems that he wrote. The Raven is also very much a part of American Indian folklore or legend and has both positive and negative connotations. The Raven is allowed to speak in many of these stories, and I can imagine that he should also be allowed to write. So I have characterized him as having contributed to the poem or possibly to have written the poem. This brings up the question of authorship.
