CoyoteThe coyote is an animal of many stories, and he is one of our favorite creatures. They walk along our rock wall as if it was their home, and it probably was. While they are usually silent, they seem to get a perverse joy out of getting the dogs of the neighborhood into an uproar. In the evening or early morning their howls mixed with a short series of yips can be heard for long distances. As I write this line two of them have just trotted past the window.
