El Dorado - the city of goldEl Dorado is an abstracted landscape of the mythical city of gold sought by the early Spanish explorers. Acrylic gel and gel with pumice were added by palette knife to create textures. Some areas were carved and scratched to create items of interest. The resulting surface was then colored with acrylic paint. Mountains, skies, streams, canyons, mesas, pueblos and ladders can be found with some imagination.
