Canyon Wall

Canyon Wall is a textured painting prepared from acrylic gel and acrylic paint applied with a palette knife. An earlier painting of the Gila Cliff Dwellings sold before it was finished. Originally, this started to be another painting of a cliff dwelling; however, I thought about the cliff prior to part of the cliff collapsing to form the dwelling opening. An area in the center of this painting has eroded until when the right conditions occur a large section will fall.
